Discontinue blood-thinning medication for 7 days prior to treatment as they may increase your risk of bruising. This includes; aspirin and ibuprofen (if any medication has been prescribed, check with your doctor first before stopping).
Also avoid herbal supplements such as garlic, Vitamin E, ginko biloba, St John's Wort and omega 3 capsules.
Avoid using topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinoids, Retinols, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid etc. for 3 days prior to treatment.
Avoid facial laser and Derma Pen treatments for 2 weeks before and after treatments.
Please attend your appointment without makeup on the area to be treated.
Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before (and after) the procedure.
Arnica tablets can be taken to reduce the risk of bruising (start taking 2-3 days before appointment).
Ensure you have had something substantial to eat before your appointment to decrease the chances of lightheadedness during the treatment.
